New Hair...

so I decided I wanted to change my hair so here are the before and after pics..

Life..

Oh my goodness time flies, I can't believe the things that have changed. Carter is sitting up on his own and almost crawling and he is eating solids. He doesn't like his food to much but he is getting used to them. I was looking through some pictures and found one of me pregnant.. that now seems like forever ago. Now my days are busy taking care of my little man. I stay at home so I get pretty bored there's only so much to do.. so I have started little activities to keep my self entertained.. I am making carter the cutest blanket okay it's not that cute but I've had fun doing it, it is a sports blanket with footballs soccer balls and basketballs on it. Derek loves it, but anything sports and Derek would love it. I have also started cooking a lot and that goes along with Derek and I trying to eat healthy.. but the bad part is that I love making cookies with isn't so healthy. I just made some cherry chocolate ones they were pretty good but I know they can be better so I am going to work on perfecting them. So last week was my dads wedding, still weird but I'm going to try and be positive about it.. hopefully I can. Derek is still super busy with school, I'm taking this semester off but going back in the spring and summer I'm kinda excited to have something to do. Derek and I are planning a trip back to Virginia in May my brother and is wife are going to go with us. I'm really excited it should be lots of fun. Well can't think of anything else to write hopefully I'll get better at this.

Back to Normal Life

Well the holidays have come and gone and derek is back in school with loads of homework already. I can't wait till he is done only two and a half years left. We have been sleep training carter and he now sleeps through the night!!! He is also taking 3 hour naps during the day! We are way happy. We have started giving him rice cereal, he hates it. I'm hoping he will get used to it. He will be 5 months tomorrow...I can't believe how fast time flies. He is also starting to sit up on his own. He first tooth is just sitting there and doesn't want to come down so that makes him a little cranky. Derek's little brother Brad got his mission call we are so excited for him he reports the the MTC in March and we will possibly get to see the whole fam.. we are so excited. Well on my side of the family the big news is my dad is getting married. I will be honest I not very excited, It is really fast( it has only been nine months since my mom died) and there's a lot of changes. She has five kids, three girls and two boys although only one kid will be moving into my dads it's still really weird. I will be gaining Five step siblings...That's a lot. He will be getting married in two weeks. So a lot of changes happening.. not sure I'm ready for them. That's all for now I guess.

It's almost Christmas, I can't wait. We are staying in Utah this year it should be fun. We will be heading the Salt Lake the tomorrow and will be there till sunday. I am so excited for Christmas eve, although it will be hard because we won't have our main cook, so me and my oldest brother get to take over, hopefully we can live up to moms cooking. We will be making clam chowder and rice pudding... yummy. This has always been our family tradition. When we have the rice pudding we will put an almond in one cup, and whoever gets the almond wins a fruit basket full of lots of stuff.. I have never won.. but maybe this year??? Well I've got almost all the christmas shopping done.. thank goodness.

On a different note, Carter is getting his first tooth... crazy he is only four and a half months. He's been super grumpy. We have started sleep training him, tonight will be our fourth night. The first night was horrible he cried almost all night, the second night was a little better he only woke up every two hours, and last night he slept almost all night so hopefully tonight he will sleep all night. I hate just letting him cry but I guess it's for the best. I love spending for much time with Derek, no homework it's awesome. I'm really not looking forward to school starting again. well that's all for now
